Commercial real estate bleak in ’08, but a lucky few continue to expand (Finance and Commerce)
Few people in the commercial real estate business will have fond memories of 2008. Overall, the industry is in the midst of the worst slump it’s seen since the bleak days of the early 1990s. Development has slowed to a crawl. Significant lease deals are few and far between.
